To a packed crowd of over 400 attendees, the Bryant Park Hotel housed the first semi-public show of k*claudene jewelry, November 18, Thursday, 2004. Sponsored by North Fork Bank & Eyefuel Media, the show was billed as 'Awarding Excellence in Design, Recognizing Ethics in Mission, and Applauding Success' to honor Krista Claudene. With Krista being a champion woman's woman, the event in turn honored a charity, The Global Fund for Women. At the event, Dina Dublon proudly represented the charity. Ms. Dublon is on the Board of the GFW, and has been named four years in a row as one of America's most powerful business women. She awed the crowd with her stature and poise, and marked the event with her ability to bring a heightened awareness to the dynamic efforts of GFW. Celebs and press were in the house, including Jaime Hector (HBO's The Wire), Tra'Lynn Husbands, Mr. Wiggles (Rock Steady Crew), Marie Claire, Glamour, Lucky, Cosmo & Suede Magazines. Good News America shot live footage. Models walked with energy and spirit, instructed by Ms. Claudene that, at this event, they were not to be 'walking hangers' and were in fact meant to show their own personality and pride in being a remarkable woman. And, they did just that -- with the energy they brought causing attendees to applaud and rise to their feet during the show. The finale of the show shocked everyone, with Ms. Claudene's Senegalese family (Marie Basse-Wiles, her sister-like-auntie, and Seynabou Diouf, her godmother) coming out in full African garb and donning the last two necklaces "Celebrating Sisterhood" and "Honoring Motherhood." The crowd, simply, went wild. Ms. Claudene's jewelry, from bridal to cruisewear, evening and couture, represented the diversity and beauty of every woman's life, and her closet. Every look was different and unique, coinciding with the nature of her jewelry line since each piece is a one-of-a-kind. Most of all, we visually experienced Krista's very intense mission: we saw women actually feel and celebrate their beauty inside and then reflect that feeling on the outside. They wore and walked her jewelry like they were wearing Olympic gold medals. Press contact &
